a day at the beach

Beach season is here, and I was excited to style South Jersey Magazine's Best of the Shore cover shoot for the June issue. The shoot took place on a windy day on the beach and boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ.For the swim look, we decided to show nautical-inspired stripes. The navy and blue striped bikini from Tommy Bahama was paired with a mesh off the shoulder cover up from Denim Habit. What you can't see is that this bikini is reversible, with adorable polka dots on the other side.For the boardwalk look, we went with a pretty flowing top in orange (one of the hottest colors of the season) paired with crisp white shorts from Denim Habit.This shoot included great company and delicious boardwalk snacks including french fries and funnel cake. The most memorable moment was when the model Brittany was posing with an ice cream cone and seagull flew down and stuck its beak right into the ice cream. If only we got a picture of that!
