We met floral designer Sullivan Owen at Lovesick Expo and were so excited to check out her Queen Village studio last month. We loved getting to know her and spending time in her beautiful studio.Sullivan describes her designs as "lush, abundant and full of the unexpected." She loves taking trips to NYC to pick up the freshest and most unique blooms, and she specializes in handmade bridal bouquet wraps, custom textile design & table linen creations, one of a kind props, and sourcing vintage items.Nestled on Bainbridge Street between 5th and 6th, Sullivan's studio is beyond adorable. The walls are the perfect shade of gray (Martha Stewart Living paint in Dolphin) and we love the bookcase filled with her event vases, which are all available to rent. Our favorites are the milk jugs and antique vases. The space is truly gorgeous and perfectly showcases Sullivan's vintage style. We love not only her work, but her tremendous attention to detail... she even uses a vintage typewriter to hand type all of the cards for their delivery clients. So much nicer than someone's messy handwriting on a generic happy birthday card!Be sure to check out her blog for some beautiful floral inspiration. And if you're feeling so inspired that you want to try your hand at floral design, sign up for one of her Philadelphia Flower School classes.images via lorraine daley for sullivan owen
